Sentimental Journey

How often do you go to your hometown? Do you have a hometown? Have you never left your hometown? Tell me about it...

Maura Bryn accompanied me on a trip to my hometown.

My plan was to hang with Momma, eat some BBQ, swill some beers, and drop way too much money on fireworks.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. THE BOOM BOOM ROOM!

Can you believe it?

They had a titan selection! We didn't know what to do with ourselves...

PBR STYLE FIREWORKS. YES. REALLY.

I know, it doesn't look like a lot, but it's what's inside that counts. Remember?

Dud guarantee.

It's not the 4th of July without at stop at D.T.'s.

The Cheyenne liquor store with the pink elephant as it's mascot. Vulgar, but SO Wyoming.

Grocery Haul.

The ladies, the ladies...

Maura B and I couldn't wait for darkness to light off some fireworks...so we had a snake race.

She lost.

Momma is no amateur when it comes to fireworks.

Punk smoking a punk in a punk smoking jacket.

Wizard.

Hesitant Shooter.

Conductress.

ALWAYS buy any firework that has a unicorn/stallion on it. It's guaranteed to be devastating!

We had to.

Twitter Glitter!

A believer!

A dud.

Never thought my heart could be so yearny. Why did I decide to roam?

Gotta take that Sentimental Journey, Sentimental Journey home.

I Came to Your Party Dressed as a Shadow

I came to your party dressed as a shadow and you never knew, you never knew...

I rolled through the halls like a velvet wave, as quiet as an empty stage...

I blackened your eyes and stole the light from your glass...

But in the cold calm of the morning, lay like a death-kite on your lawn...

I came to your party dressed as a shadow, without invitation, without a motive...

I parked three streets from the moonlight - the soft walk to your house on a silver string...

You were dancing in the backyard to a biscuit-tin beat...

I slunk between the notes, posting them off to the night...

This is symptomatic of you and me...

I have jars full of your breath...

I have shelves of your words...

but you have nothing of me...

but a space where I would be.

(Check out the Potter Highlands area...it's filled with lovely sights, delicious food, and the sweet scent of Gardenia everywhere!)

I'll be your mirror, reflect what you are...

I've been blue...

I don't know if it was my upcoming birthday or what...
Still, the babies took good care of me this weekend - took me to Le Central and loved up on me proper!

Spencer plied me with Kir Royales - my favorite!

I spilled my second one when I saw Maura!

We sat in the back room and ate a pile of escargot and cheeses...

I like to think we are a right gorgeous group...

Our meals were divine, the desserts were impeccable...

Belgian Dip.

Yes, Creme Brulee!

Robin, our waitress, endured our filthy mouths and bad manners!

We hit the Lancer Lounge for post dinner hangouts...

We cuddled right up with one another...

Birthday!

Shelly saved my life this year...she rescued me and I can't thank her enough!

Laughter...thank heavens!

On my actual birthday, Shelly and I took her babes out for some peddle boat action in Wash Park.

Korah and I are BFF FOREV.

I need more BFFs like this!

Everybody wore the orange hat...

It's sort of a tradish with us!

Had to hit Liks at the end for Cotton Candy and Bubblegum ice cream.

Please put down your hands, cause I see you...
