Would You Like To Swing On Star, Carry Moonbeams Home In A Jar

This, my friends, is the way to start a day!
Veuve Clicquot Champagne and freshly juiced clementines...

Here was the plan:
Hook up with the above two cutest and favoritist of my cutest and favoritist...eat bacon...drink mimosas and prime for a day at the Denver Zoo.
Mission Accomplished!

Of course, Dakota Monster was there...

And Kelty came for a visit and was adorable and even tempered.

After the dog party/mimosa get down...we hopped in the car with Chris in tow and hit the Denver Zoo - we had a date with Joel and my new boyfriend Henry!

Joel is one of those rad dads.
And the fact that he is hilarious makes him a joy to be around!

So, I want you to meet my new boyfriend.
His name is Henry and we're pretty mad about each other.

Um, yeah. Look at the mug!
Dream kid, for realsies.
Also, he comes from good stock...I'll introduce you to his gorgeous and totally amazing mom sometime!

Henry insisted that he take some photos with my camera.
He uses the old "finger in front of the shutter" technique.

I trust his artistic integrity 100%.

Lil Kyle came with two of the most adorable munchkins known to man...Tate and Alexa, his sisters.
Little did I know I was about to make a new BFF.

So, we got started.
It was hot, packed with slow walkers, belligerent children, and inappropriate moms, but we made our way through!

We peeped creatures, animals, and mammals.

We climbed in caves together and explored stuff.

We checked out marmots...

terrifying birds...

and, in general, we kept it pretty god damn cute.

Animal adventures!

And the beauty part of the whole thing is that you get to watch the human behavior as well.
This prize couple were toting GIANT totally gratuitous cameras and pushing everyone in their path aside to take photographs...
Sadly, they pushed their young son, in his stroller, into a corner and left him there to stare at a wall while they snapped away and patted each other on the back.

Gross.

It's fun to look at animals...

for a while.

But it's more fun to be with kids that are bewildered, amazed, and excited by the experience.
They made the day!

The softer side of Chris.

Spencer looked like he was going to hurt someone the whole time. This is one reason why I love him.

Alexa and Tate are professional picture takers. If you point a camera at them...they are immediately at attention and undeniably cute!

Sometimes it's hard for a kid to control their glee!

It wells up all bubbly and frenzied!

So effin' cute.

More photos a la Henry M.

I'd hate to admit this, but I think Steph might be his muse!

We split up for a while and Steph, Spencer, and I went to the Lion's Lair for burgers.
FYI, this place is NOTHING like the joint on Colfax.

But when we reconnected with the Chingaso crew, we had to get some family style pics of them.

There's a lot of love in this group!

Mimosas, food, and sun can really put the hurt on a person though...so, we ultimately had to bail and go The Elm to meet Sarah, Henry's Mom, and have a sit down.

The kids quickly acclimated to the bar scene.

And we got some quality time with Sarah! Heaven's to Betsy, I love Sarah!
She is a lover of Bloody Mary's, dirty stories, and she's got some quality men in her life!
I'm madly in love!

But this little sprite...this sweet little magical babe and I had a bonding experience.
Tate grabbed my hand and wouldn't let me out of her sight!

A lady can never have enough BFFs! Tate shared her cotton candy with me, did some drawings, and kept my public dancing in check.
Bless!

How'd I get so lucky?
No, seriously...how?
