Buy Me Some Peanuts

I went on a work day adventure with my co-worker peeps!

We were graciously gifted tickets to a Rockies game at Coors Field!

It's always sort of a production...but baseball games are fun!
If you don't like them, you're a fruit cake.

We had pretty awesome seats!

I was flanked by Michelle, my belle...with Craig a seat away...

And office experimenter extraordinaire, A-Dawg/Dr. McDonaldson...or Adam for short.
Look, Eric's back there too!

We were sort of amongst a lot of people. Everyone should know better...I'm the loudest laugher ever. I sort of had to declare it to those surrounding us just to break the ice.

To say it was hot...would be a ridiculous understatement.

But the spirit of a place like Coors Field sort of makes you want to endure!

Also, hot dogs and super ridic nachos help you deal.
Oh, and $7 beers.

The bosses!

And super rad nacho eater, Jake!

Our graphics crew - Scott, Jake, and Eric.

This little cloud provided a short reprieve from the sun's brutal glare...but you can only imagine how long that lasted.

We sweated our asses off.

A small bit of insight into our degree of miserable melting.

We gathered piles of tissues to wipe sweat off our brows. Not as lady like as it sounds.

And, sadly, I could only do one beer...I had to drink water to hang in the sunshine...which was probably better in the long run!

In the end, the Rockies won and Todd Helton hit his 500th double - A milestone, for realsies.

And I found the adult emporium when Michelle and I were walking back to the car! SCORE!

Porch Drinkin' - Reunited!

Does this look familiar?
It should! It's the Baker Neighb Porch Drinkin' Posse...and our shit is getting tighter and more interesting every week that we join up!

There were some new old faces like Shane on the left and Nick on the Right...
You remember Pablo!
Nice porch drinkin' hat, my friend!

Miriam came glowing with good news and it was nice to see her right with the world!

So, as per the typical porch drinkin' get down...we discussed a variety of subjects...ranging from role play opportunities with a hat such as the one Mr. Pablo is sporting to dating cousins!

But that's how we do it on the porch!

We use the space right up...drinking icy cold porch appropriate beverages...and talk some shit.

Here, I believe Maura is discussing the merits of peeing on someone.

There was a demo leg wrestle, but no competitive leg wrestling like last time.

Christ with an I sort of smoked everyone's ass last time and there was a lot of unspoken fear that the tide would not turn in any competitor's favor.

Maura's neighbors joined us.
Carlos used to live upstairs!

Now, Eric lives upstairs.
His rad girlfriend Sarah hung heavy with us too!
She's a yoga instructor - go to her yoga studio on 27th and Arapahoe!

Jeff was displaying his intentional sunburn and talking about a tree that was giving him some attitude. He tried to talk sense to the tree, but it wouldn't listen so he tried to kick it's ass.

Everyone makes friends on the porch...

And if Maura puts on some latin salsa jams, you're expected to get up and shake something.

Carlos kindly obliged.

But things start to wind down...they always do.

And just about the time that happened, a giant storm rolled in and violently poured beautiful smelling rain - a deluge!

It was the perfect end...washing away the evening from our faces as we all pointed ourselves home or wherever we ended up.

Me? I biked it over to Maura's house on Midge and on the ride home felt the delicious cool wet pushing against me as I rode through the night.

Come to porch drinking, we'll ride bikes, and laugh harder than you have in a very long time! It's good for you, no lie!

Would You Like To Swing On Star, Carry Moonbeams Home In A Jar

This, my friends, is the way to start a day!
Veuve Clicquot Champagne and freshly juiced clementines...

Here was the plan:
Hook up with the above two cutest and favoritist of my cutest and favoritist...eat bacon...drink mimosas and prime for a day at the Denver Zoo.
Mission Accomplished!

Of course, Dakota Monster was there...

And Kelty came for a visit and was adorable and even tempered.

After the dog party/mimosa get down...we hopped in the car with Chris in tow and hit the Denver Zoo - we had a date with Joel and my new boyfriend Henry!

Joel is one of those rad dads.
And the fact that he is hilarious makes him a joy to be around!

So, I want you to meet my new boyfriend.
His name is Henry and we're pretty mad about each other.

Um, yeah. Look at the mug!
Dream kid, for realsies.
Also, he comes from good stock...I'll introduce you to his gorgeous and totally amazing mom sometime!

Henry insisted that he take some photos with my camera.
He uses the old "finger in front of the shutter" technique.

I trust his artistic integrity 100%.

Lil Kyle came with two of the most adorable munchkins known to man...Tate and Alexa, his sisters.
Little did I know I was about to make a new BFF.

So, we got started.
It was hot, packed with slow walkers, belligerent children, and inappropriate moms, but we made our way through!

We peeped creatures, animals, and mammals.

We climbed in caves together and explored stuff.

We checked out marmots...

terrifying birds...

and, in general, we kept it pretty god damn cute.

Animal adventures!

And the beauty part of the whole thing is that you get to watch the human behavior as well.
This prize couple were toting GIANT totally gratuitous cameras and pushing everyone in their path aside to take photographs...
Sadly, they pushed their young son, in his stroller, into a corner and left him there to stare at a wall while they snapped away and patted each other on the back.

Gross.

It's fun to look at animals...

for a while.

But it's more fun to be with kids that are bewildered, amazed, and excited by the experience.
They made the day!

The softer side of Chris.

Spencer looked like he was going to hurt someone the whole time. This is one reason why I love him.

Alexa and Tate are professional picture takers. If you point a camera at them...they are immediately at attention and undeniably cute!

Sometimes it's hard for a kid to control their glee!

It wells up all bubbly and frenzied!

So effin' cute.

More photos a la Henry M.

I'd hate to admit this, but I think Steph might be his muse!

We split up for a while and Steph, Spencer, and I went to the Lion's Lair for burgers.
FYI, this place is NOTHING like the joint on Colfax.

But when we reconnected with the Chingaso crew, we had to get some family style pics of them.

There's a lot of love in this group!

Mimosas, food, and sun can really put the hurt on a person though...so, we ultimately had to bail and go The Elm to meet Sarah, Henry's Mom, and have a sit down.

The kids quickly acclimated to the bar scene.

And we got some quality time with Sarah! Heaven's to Betsy, I love Sarah!
She is a lover of Bloody Mary's, dirty stories, and she's got some quality men in her life!
I'm madly in love!

But this little sprite...this sweet little magical babe and I had a bonding experience.
Tate grabbed my hand and wouldn't let me out of her sight!

A lady can never have enough BFFs! Tate shared her cotton candy with me, did some drawings, and kept my public dancing in check.
Bless!

How'd I get so lucky?
No, seriously...how?
