I Ain't Freakin', I Ain't Fakin' It!

I went to San Francisco this weekend!

My little tiny cousin Nick was getting hitched and my Aunt Char, who works for Southwest, finagled me a ticket for the nuptuals!

I wanted to note that I ate a pretty righteous breakfast burrito at DIA - C Concourse...around Gate 48.
They have a surprisingly decent green chili for an airport restaurant.

My flight was uneventful and I made it through the airport to the BART station with little hassle. RFG was there to pick me up for a day trip to the city!

ROBB! This is his, "I sharted" pic.

We walked through his neighb...

He carried my bag like a gentleman!

Sadly, Robb indicated that the city is changing...his fave diner, the King Diner (which I fondly referred to as King Diamond) had closed and in it's place a new housing development.
Gentrification is robbing every city of it's secrets and old haunts.

Wires...

Apparently, this place used to be some sort of city landmark - a jail or something...
But now some really socially conscious porn outfit runs it!
They had a pirate flag on top of the building - so, I snapped it for co-worker Michelle!

Robb is notoriously cranky when he's hungry and my breakfast burrito had worn off...so, we started walking down Valencia looking for a culinary adventure.

There was a parking space take over happening - apparently, it's a annual affair and 826 Valencia was taking part!
826 Valencia is David Eggers' literacy drop-in center disguised as a pirate store.

We did some sight seeing along the way. I was pretty quintessentially touristy!

Another parking spot turned into a lovely picnic complete with donut holes!

We settled on El Majahaul for lunch! It was a family spot with a really extensive menu that included Salvadorean and Columbian food.

There's sweet RFG and please note his super sexy Christian Death tattoo!
DREAMY!

We split an order of Pupusas...

I had steak and lentils...

And Robb had this. It looks crazy, but it was so good...
And the long slug looking thing is a plantain!

After we stuffed our faces, we walked down the other side of Valencia and window shopped.

There's all kinds of neat things to gawk at in San Fran.

Wanderer/Iron Maiden lover!

This one is for Mama Hen.

Art is everywhere.
That's not a cliche, you jaded jerks.

Robb threatened to try to cure me of my bird phobia.
I told him to mind his own business.

Finally, we ended up at Lucky 13 bar for a ritual hang.
We threw back some Stellas, I laughed like a hyena, and we took those photobooth pics you see below.
I was enamoured and wowed by Glassford's Nazi haircut.
High and tight to the max.

Also, we laughed at this for about an hour.
