Dead Fun

These sweet be-handkerchiefed little munchkins are Girl Scouts and Brownies!

What would a bunch of degenerates like us be doing hanging heavy with the future female leaders of tomorrow, you ask?

Makin' sugar skulls, you jerks.

Jess, Maura...

and Mic joined me at the Lakewood Cultural Center to explore Dia de los Muertos!

There was glitter and feathers and sequins and sweet little sugar skulls to decorate!

Day of the Dead celebrates the death of your ancestors and loved ones! Everyone has got someone to celebrate.

We even made some sugar skulls for the next class of artists!

My skulls were pristine!

These two young ladies befriended Jess and Maura pronto.
We were alarmed when they told us their moms were the same age as us.
We assumed they were lying.

Artists!

Can you find my sugar skull? It looks like George Burns in a turban!

We worked up an awful hunger slaving over glitter glue - so, we headed over to the City Grille.
They make the BEST burger at the City Grille - it's proven...and Maura tells a really gross story about Mikey Rat burping a City Grille burger in her face and making her hungry for one!

Oh yeah, speaking of Mikey, we picked him up...he was jamming with King Rat - Word is...King Rat's working on some new stuff. Can't wait to hear it!

We couldn't help ourselves, we had to order the green chili fries...we were talking about them in the car on the way over!

And the magnificent City Grille burger, in all it's glory!
GO THERE! It's on Colfax & Logan!
You can thank me later!
